Loews Miami Beach Hotel is seeking a Banquet Cook II to prepare and present high-quality foods for large events, weddings, and conferences. You will work across grill, sauté, and pantry stations, maintain mise en place, and ensure exceptional presentation under pressure.

You will support senior cooks and banquet leadership, follow health standards, and help train junior staff while collaborating with event service teams to meet timelines and guest expectations.

Qualificações

• 2+ years in hotel, banquet, or catering kitchen
• Banquet-style service, buffet prep, large-volume cooking knowledge
• ServSafe certification preferred
• Flexible schedule incl. weekends/holidays/early-lates
• Strong teamwork and communication
• Stand for extended periods; lift up to 50 lbs

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and cook hot and cold items per event orders and recipes
• Set up, operate, maintain banquet kitchen stations
• Collaborate with Cook I and Banquet Chef to ensure timely delivery and proper presentation
• Maintain mise en place and cleanliness during service
• Assist in plating and food service for buffet and plated meals
• Ensure food storage, labeling, and handling meet health standards
• Train and guide junior team members as needed
• Coordinate with event staff to meet timelines and guest expectations
• Adapt to last-minute changes with a solutions-oriented approach
• Attend mandatory trainings and maintain regular attendance
