Job summary

CIVANA Wellness Resort & Spa in Carefree, AZ is seeking a Line Cook for a full-time role. The position supports high-quality dining offerings and requires experience in a hotel or resort setting.

Hours vary based on event needs, including weekends and holidays. The role involves standing for long periods and maintaining sanitary kitchen practices while preparing and presenting meals to clients in a wellness-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Three to five years’ experience as Line Cook.
• Previous hotel or resort experience preferred.
• Willing and able to work all shifts including weekends/holidays.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing orders and verifying receipt.
• Keeps kitchen equipment operating by following instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance and calling for repairs.
• Prepares meals by grilling, sauteing, roasting, frying and broiling ingredients; verifies doneness and taste; assembles and refrigerates ingredients.
• Presents meals by arranging hot and cold elements on plates, dishes, bowls or baskets.
• Controls costs by following recipes and preparation standards.
• Maintains sanitary kitchen by following state and local sanitation, storage and refrigeration codes; cleans equipment.

Salary Range: $23.00 To $24.00 Hourly
