Job summary

CIVANA Wellness Resort & Spa in Carefree, AZ is seeking a dedicated Line Cook for a Regular Full Time position. Shifts run 5:00am to 6:30pm, with weekends and holidays required. You will prepare meals, maintain kitchen standards, and contribute to a wellness-focused dining experience.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of line cook experience, prefer hotel/resort settings, and hold a valid Maricopa County Food Handlers Card. Join our hospitality team and support exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience as a Line Cook.
• Hotel or resort kitchen experience preferred.
• Willing and able to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Current Maricopa County Food Handlers Card required.
• Be able to stand for long periods.
• Interest in Health & Wellness.

Responsibilities

• Maintain supplies by checking stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
• Keep kitchen equipment running by following instructions and calling for repairs when needed.
• Prepare meals by grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying, and broiling ingredients.
• Present meals attractively on plates, dishes, bowls, and baskets.
• Control costs by following recipes and preparation standards.
• Maintain sanitary conditions complying with sanitation codes and cleaning equipment.

IDEAL CANDIDATES

This is Regular Full Time position. Shifts will vary from 5:00am - 6:30pm, including all weekends and all holidays.

Job Duties

• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock; anticipating needs; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
• Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; performing preventive and cleaning maintenance; calling for repairs.
• Completes meal preparation by grilling, sauteing, roasting, frying, and broiling ingredients; verifying doneness and taste; assembling and refrigerating cold ingredients.
• Presents meals by placing and arranging hot and cold elements using plates, dishes, bowls, and baskets.
• Controls costs by adhering to recipes; following preparation standards.
• Maintains a sanitary kitchen by adhering to state and local sanitation, storage, and refrigeration requirements and codes; cleaning equipment.

Qualifications

• Three - five years’ experience as Line Cook
• Previous hotel/resort experience preferred
• Willing and able to work all shifts including weekends/holidays
• Current Maricopa County Food Handlers Card required
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
• Knowledge/passion in Health & Wellness
