Sulekha.com New Media Pvt Ltd in Edison, NJ seeks a Banquet & Catering Sales Manager to drive sales for its banquet hall and catering operations. The ideal candidate will have proven sales experience in banquet halls, catering, event venues, hotels, or hospitality event sales.

You will generate leads, respond to inquiries, conduct venue tours, prepare proposals and contracts, negotiate to close, and coordinate with operations to ensure flawless events.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of banquet, catering, venue, hotel, or hospitality sales experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of banquet hall operations and catering sales.
• Proven ability to generate leads and close event business.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong follow-up and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working with CRM/sales tracking systems.
• Must be available for client meetings, venue tours, and occasional evenings/weekends based on event schedules.

Responsabilités

• Generate new banquet, wedding, corporate event, social event, and catering business.
• Respond to incoming event and catering inquiries and convert leads into confirmed bookings.
• Conduct venue tours, client meetings, presentations, and follow-ups.
• Prepare proposals, packages, pricing, and contracts and negotiate to close business.
• Build relationships with event planners, wedding planners, corporations, community organizations, and other referral partners.
• Develop new leads through networking, outreach, referrals, social media inquiries, and local business development.
• Upsell catering packages, bar/service options, décor, live stations, and other event services.
• Maintain an organized sales pipeline and consistently follow up on open opportunities.
• Coordinate closely with banquet, catering, kitchen, and operations teams to ensure a smooth transition from sale to event execution.
• Work toward monthly and annual sales and revenue targets.
