Job summary

Landry's, LLC. is seeking a Banquet Staff member to prepare and manage banquet spaces, ensuring high service quality and guest satisfaction at events.

You will coordinate with host, kitchen, and service staff, move and arrange equipment, and maintain compliance with safety standards and company policies. Role involves lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, and providing exceptional customer service; prior banquet or F&B experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have good people skills and a well-groomed appearance.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be capable of lifting and moving heavy objects, 50 pounds or more.
• Leadership and supervision skills: The ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
• A strong focus on customer service and guest satisfaction.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• The ability to think on their feet and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
• The ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks like lifting and carrying.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be able to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality results.
• Minimum age requirement is 21.

Responsibilities

• Maintain uniform appearance according to established guidelines.
• Act as a liaison between event host, guests, kitchen staff, and servers, ensuring high service and safety standards.
• Set/reset rooms according to BEO/spec sheet/management instructions.
• Move and arrange heavy props for functions.
• Set/reset table pads and linens.
• Supervise banquet set up staff and coordinate service.
• Assist other banquet personnel as needed.
• Adhere to policies and health laws.
• Know Golden Nugget outlets and services for guests.
• Relay compliments and complaints to manager on duty.
• Inform supervisor of items needing ordered or fixed.
• Attend to guest needs and improve guest experience.
• Deliver supplies from storeroom to locations.
• Keep service areas clean and organized.
• Assist guests' special needs, including transporting boxes.
• Deliver/return guest packages from receiving when needed.
• Oversee breakdown/cleanup of event space; store equipment properly.
• May assist with inventory of food, beverages, and equipment.
• May assist in training new staff.
• Keep banquet equipment clean.
• Complete special projects as requested by management.
