Loews Royal Pacific Resort is seeking a dynamic Banquet Captain to lead event teams and deliver exceptional guest service for upscale banquets and catered events. You’ll coordinate service, maintain high standards of presentation, and oversee setup through breakdown to ensure flawless execution.

You will work closely with culinary and sales teams, manage staffing, and ensure safety and quality at every step, while maintaining a guest-first mindset and professional presence throughout events.

Qualifications

• Three+ years as a Banquet Captain in a high-volume, upscale venue.
• Alcohol service certification or ability to obtain within required timeframe.
• Knowledge of banquet and food service techniques and standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and POS systems.
• Ability to lift and carry trays weighing 35+ pounds.

Responsabilités

• Oversee all assigned banquet functions from setup to breakdown.
• Review BEOs and coordinate with culinary, sales, and operations to ensure details are delivered on schedule.
• Direct banquet team by assigning service stations and providing hands-on leadership.
• Coordinate and monitor food and beverage service to meet quality, presentation, timing, and guest satisfaction standards.
• Partner with culinary leadership to ensure banquet menus are prepared and served per standards.
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences by addressing needs and resolving concerns.
• Plan and schedule banquet staffing, conduct pre-shift meetings, and communicate expectations.
• Train and coach team members to foster a high-performing service culture.
• Maintain accountability for equipment, supplies, inventory, and event documentation.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and workplace safety policies and keep facilities clean and ready for events.
• Attend mandatory trainings; may work varying schedules as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
