Fairmont Orchid in Hawaii seeks a Banquet Captain to lead a busy banquet team and uphold the hotel’s luxury standards during events.

You will coordinate with the Banquet Chef, meeting planners, and external departments to ensure flawless service, proper setup, and exceptional guest experiences across ballrooms, boardrooms, and outdoor venues. Attention to detail and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Leadership capabilities and good communication skills.

• Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Act as a leader, mentor, and project a positive influence in Food & Beverage.
• Communicate with external departments to support functions.
• Ensure a positive first impression through cleanliness, setup and ambiance control.
• Check room sets, quantities, and staffing for events; coordinate with Banquet Chef.
• Conduct pre-function meetings and allocate staff; review banquet event orders.
• Coordinate with meeting planners and monitor upcoming groups and conventions.
• Supervise service standards during banquet operations and respond to guest concerns.
