Job summary

Best Western Premier, The Central Hotel in Harrisburg, PA is seeking a friendly restaurant server to deliver exceptional guest experiences. You will provide personalized service, maintain a clean dining area, and help guests enjoy their meals while following health and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include taking orders, itemizing checks, upselling food and beverage, greeting guests, coordinating with hotel staff on events, and ensuring guest privacy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous banquet service experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate with guests and team members professionally.
• Ability to learn safety, emergency, and accident prevention policies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of our guests by maintaining guest privacy at all times.
• Participate in pre-shift and post-shift meetings.
• Welcome and greet guests with a warm friendly smile.
• Accurately process guest orders to ensure items are prepared properly and in a timely manner.
• Prepare guest checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales tax.
• Maintain superior standards of quality, service, and cleanliness in the restaurant.
• Utilize persuasive selling techniques to upsell food and beverage service.
• Clear and reset tables at the end of each course or upon completion of the meal.
• Listen to guest requests and concerns, resolving in a professional manner.
• Promote hotel services including guest rooms and meetings/events.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and professional appearance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
