Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is seeking a Bartender for the Hilton Harrisburg in Harrisburg, PA. The role involves serving beverages, preparing drinks, handling cash, and acting as a cashier for the lounge, with mandatory liquor-law compliance.

The position requires bartending experience, basic math, and English proficiency, plus the ability to maintain bar stock, greet guests, and ensure quick, courteous service.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of alcoholic beverages.
• Basic mathematical skills to operate a cash register, make change, and total guest checks.
• Basic English language writing skills for requisitions, balance sheets and vouchers.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to garnish, scoop ice, and handle glassware.
• Ability to read, speak and understand English for guest communication.
• Ability to remember and promote menu items.
• Ability to operate a keyboard and POS procedures to pre-check orders and close checks.
• Ability to stand for long periods in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proper bar setup and stock beverages and supplies daily.
• Greet guests, document orders, mix drinks with correct portion control, and check IDs.
• Input orders into POS and create checks for guests and staff to ensure accountability.
• Reconcile product and cash to balance cash drops.
• Handle cash, make change, verify charges and ensure vouchers are correctly executed.
