Job summary

Best-Western-Premier,-the-Central-Hotel is seeking a banquet server to provide exceptional guest experiences by delivering friendly, personalized service and maintaining a clean, well-run restaurant.

Role involves processing orders, upselling food and beverage, and ensuring safety and cleanliness in hospitality settings. Candidates should be able to stand for long periods and work weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or higher.
• Banquet service experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate professionally with guests and team members.
• Ability to learn safety, emergency, and accident prevention policies.
• Ability to lift food service trays up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and privacy of guests at all times.
• Participate in pre-shift and post-shift meetings.
• Welcome and greet guests with a warm, friendly smile.
• Accurately process guest orders and prepare itemized checks with tax.
• Maintain high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness in the restaurant.
• Utilize persuasive selling techniques for food and beverage services.
• Clear and reset tables at end of each course or meal.
• Listen to guest requests and resolve issues professionally.
• Promote hotel services including guest rooms and events.
• Maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
