Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our premier Bankruptcy & Creditors' Rights Practice Group in Seattle, WA.

The attorney will handle complex bankruptcy matters, including restructurings and creditor representations, with exposure to both litigation and transactional work. The ideal candidate has 4–8 years of relevant experience, a JD from a top-tier law school, and bar admissions in WA (or eligibility to waive).

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in Washington, in good standing (or eligible to waive into Washington). Admission in Oregon and/or California is a plus.
• 4–8 years of substantive experience in bankruptcy proceedings, restructuring, creditors' rights litigation, or insolvency-related matters.
• Experience in loan workouts, loan enforcement actions, receiverships, foreclosures, and related insolvency litigation.
• Bankruptcy & Restructuring expertise across debtor and creditor representations in Chapter 11, 15, and 9 municipal insolvencies.
• Litigation skills in drafting, discovery, motion practice, and court appearances for bankruptcy disputes.

Responsibilities

• Represent lenders, creditors, landlords, debtors, and stakeholders in bankruptcy and insolvency matters.
• Handle loan workout negotiations, restructuring transactions, and distressed asset matters.
• Manage creditors' rights litigation, including loan enforcement actions, receiverships, and foreclosures.
• Draft and negotiate workout agreements and pleadings; prepare discovery and motions.
