Job summary

Ashton North LLC in Seattle, WA, is seeking an Associate Attorney for its Bankruptcy & Creditors' Rights Practice Group. The role focuses on complex restructuring, insolvency, and bankruptcy matters for lenders, creditors, landlords, and debtors, spanning litigation and transactional work.

The ideal candidate has a JD from a top-tier law school, Washington bar, 4–8 years’ relevant experience, and strong drafting, discovery, and advocacy skills to handle Chapter 11, 15, and 9 matters.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in Washington in good standing (or eligible to waive).
• Admission in Oregon and/or California is a plus.
• 4–8 years of substantive experience in bankruptcy, restructuring, creditors' rights litigation, or insolvency matters.
• Experience with loan workouts, enforcement actions, receiverships, foreclosures, and related insolvency litigation.

Responsibilities

• Represent lenders, creditors, landlords, debtors, and stakeholders in bankruptcy and insolvency matters.
• Handle loan workout negotiations, restructuring transactions, and distressed asset matters.
• Manage creditors' rights litigation including loan enforcement actions, receiverships, and foreclosures.
• Draft and negotiate workout agreements, restructuring documents, pleadings, motions, and related filings.
• Advise clients on insolvency, restructuring, bankruptcy risk management strategies.
• Represent clients in corporate restructurings and bankruptcy litigation, including Chapter 11/Chapter 15/Chapter 9.
