Job summary

Markent Personnel, Inc. is assisting a prestigious AmLaw 100 firm in Seattle in hiring an Associate Attorney for its Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Litigation Practice Group.

The role focuses on representing lenders, creditors, landlords, and debtors in complex insolvency matters, with exposure to both litigation and transactional restructuring. Candidates should have a JD from a top-tier school, Washington bar, 4–8 years in bankruptcy-related work, and strong drafting, discovery, and trial

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in Washington (or eligibility to waive in).
• 4–8 years of bankruptcy, restructuring or insolvency experience.
• Experience with loan workouts, enforcement actions, receiverships, and foreclosures.
• Expertise in Chapter 11, 15, and 9 municipal insolvencies for debtor/creditor representations.
• Strong drafting, discovery, motions, and courtroom appearances.
• Familiarity with distressed asset acquisitions and out-of-court restructurings is a plus.
• Excellent writing, research, and interpersonal skills; ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Represent lenders, creditors, landlords, debtors, and stakeholders in bankruptcy and insolvency matters.
• Handle loan workout negotiations, restructurings, and distressed asset matters.
• Manage creditors' rights litigation including enforcement actions, receiverships, and foreclosures.
• Draft pleadings, prepare discovery, and manage motion practice for bankruptcy disputes.
• Advise clients on insolvency strategies and risk management.
• Collaborate with partners and clients in a fast-paced team environment.
