Job summary

H. T. PROF Group in Seattle seeks an experienced Associate Attorney for its Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights Litigation Practice Group. The role covers complex restructuring, insolvency matters, and both litigation and transactional work with lenders and debtors.

The candidate will handle bankruptcy proceedings (Chapter 11/15/9), loan workouts, and distressed asset work while advising clients on risk management and strategy. Strong writing and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in Washington, in good standing (or eligible to waive).
• 4–8 years of experience in bankruptcy, restructuring, creditors' rights litigation, or insolvency matters.
• Experience with loan workouts, enforcement actions, receiverships, foreclosures, and related insolvency litigation.

Responsibilities

• Represent lenders, creditors, landlords, debtors, and stakeholders in bankruptcy and insolvency matters.
• Handle loan workout negotiations and distressed asset matters.
• Manage creditors' rights litigation including enforcement actions and foreclosures.
• Draft pleadings and prepare discovery; manage motions in high-stakes litigation.
• Advise clients on insolvency strategies and restructurings.
• Contribute to corporate restructurings and bankruptcy litigation (Chapter 11/15/9).
• Assist acquisitions of distressed assets and workouts, in and out of court.
• Collaborate with partners and clients in a fast-paced team environment.
