Bankruptcy Code and handle Chapter 7, 11, and 13 proceedings, including direct client communications. The role blends transactional document work with courtroom litigation and compassionate client support, while ensuring compliance with court rules and time reporting.

Qualifications

• Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Illinois.
• Deep expertise in the U.S. Bankruptcy Code with Chapter 7, 11 and 13 experience.
• Ability to handle highly technical bankruptcy petitions and court filings.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and file bankruptcy petitions, schedules, and schedules of assets/liabilities.
• Represent clients at 341 Meetings of Creditors and hearings.
• Negotiate reaffirmation agreements, lien issues, and repayment plans.
• Manage case deadlines using CM/ECF and PACER; communicate with clients.
• Develop strategies to protect client assets under exemptions.
