Responsibilities

• Represent secured and unsecured creditors, debtors, and trustees in Chapter 11 matters and bankruptcy litigation.
• Provide expert legal advice on insolvency and restructuring to clients.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, and other documents per court rules.
• Negotiate and mediate adversary proceedings to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Conduct thorough legal research on bankruptcy and business litigation matters.
• Handle distressed debt transactions and advise on risks and opportunities.
• Appear in court and advocate effectively for clients.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to manage cases efficiently.

Salary: $175,000 - $220,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Representing secured and unsecured creditors, debtors, and trustees in all aspects of Chapter 11 reorganizations and bankruptcy litigation.
• Providing expert legal advice on insolvency and restructuring matters to clients, ensuring their rights and interests are well-protected.
• Drafting and reviewing pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents in compliance with court rules and procedures.
• Negotiating and mediating adversarial proceedings and contested matters to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Conducting thorough legal research and analysis on complex bankruptcy and business litigation matters.
• Handling distressed debt transactions and advising on potential risks and opportunities.
• Making regular court appearances, presenting cases effectively, and advocating for clients confidently.
• Collaborating with other attorneys and legal staff to ensure efficient case management and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Bankruptcy Counsel, Bankruptcy Partner, Restructuring Attorney, or a similar role.
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of bankruptcy law, creditors' rights, commercial litigation, and business bankruptcy.
• Proven experience in handling Chapter 11 reorganizations, adversary proceedings, contested matters, and bankruptcy litigation.
• Exceptional negotiation and mediation skills.
