Job summary

Bank of New England is seeking a detail-oriented Business Systems Analyst to support banking operations and day-to-day business systems. This on-site role sits in Salem, NH, reporting to the AVP, Business Systems Manager, and works across departments, IT, and vendors to resolve issues and drive improvements.

The ideal candidate will be organized, analytical, and proactive, with experience in core banking systems, reporting, and process optimization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Understanding of banking operations, online banking, and core banking systems.
• Experience supporting system access, configuration, operational processes, documentation, and issue resolution.
• Experience with reporting and data analysis tools such as Excel, Cognos, or similar platforms.
• Strong research and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with internal departments, IT teams, and external vendors.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow assignments through to completion.
• Ability to work independently while knowing when to collaborate or escalate an issue.

Responsibilities

• Respond to system-related questions and support requests by researching issues and driving resolution.
• Support core banking system administration and related responsibilities.
• Assist online banking administration and bank products management.
• Develop and maintain operational reports and analyses.
• Research system functionality and guide internal stakeholders.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of assigned applications and workflows.
• Stay current on system enhancements and product releases.
• Troubleshoot issues and coordinate with IT, vendors, and teams to resolve them.
• Take ownership of assigned responsibilities with limited supervision.
• Participate in system implementations, testing, and post-implementation support.
• Coordinate project activities and follow up with stakeholders.
• Communicate changes to affected stakeholders.
