Job summary

United Bank in Hurricane, WV is seeking a Sales Associate to support customer service at the branch and participate in the Bank’s in-house Sales Associate Training Program.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, strong communication skills (Spanish or other languages a plus), money handling experience, and proficiency with Word/Excel. You will interact with customers, process transactions, and work with banking systems in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of the Bank’s in-house Sales Associate Training Program.
• Previous customer service contact experience is highly desired.
• Ability to demonstrate a sales-oriented professional demeanor.
• Excellent communication skills required; Verbal and written communications skills in Spanish or additional language a plus.
• Experience in handling money preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel) required.
• Understanding and working knowledge of appropriate core banking system is a plus.
• Detailed oriented.
• Professionalism and confidentiality are essential.
• Flexibility on work schedule as business needs arise.

Responsibilities

• Sitting and standing for extended periods of time.
• Ability to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components.
• Ability to reach over teller counter or desk area to receive customer transaction documents.
• Ability to lift and carry up to twenty pounds.
• Ability to converse and exchange information with all levels of staff within organization.
• Ability to observe, perceive, identify, and translate data.
