Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of the Bank’s in-house Sales Associate Training Program.
• Previous customer service contact experience is highly desired.
• Ability to demonstrate a sales-oriented professional demeanor.
• Excellent communication skills; Verbal and written in Spanish or another language a plus.
• Experience in handling money preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel) required.
• Understanding and working knowledge of core banking systems is a plus.
• Detail oriented.
• Professionalism and confidentiality are essential.
• Flexibility on work schedule as business needs arise.

Responsibilities

• Operate with accuracy and efficiency with core banking systems and processing transactions with a sales associate cash drawer.
• Balance assigned cash daily and maintain security procedures and cash limits.
• Identify customers and verify identification, endorsements/payees, cash and checks, and obtain supervisor approval for authorization.
• Comply with department and company policies and security.
• Prepare currency transaction reports and logs per Bank Secrecy Act and KYC requirements.
• Contribute to meeting branch and individual scorecard goals.
• Deliver excellent customer service and adhere to sales and service standards.
• Promote and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers.
• Communicate bank products and services to clients; adapt to business needs, possibly including after-hours work.
