Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Banking experience preferred or equivalent to one year.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Knowledge of bank products and services.
• Pursuit of certification in life insurance, lending, or business banking expected.
• Proficient with a personal computer.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Promotes sale of Bank products and services to customers using the bank's sales process.
• Adheres to and promotes the Bank's Core Values.
• Responds to requests and proactively approaches customers and prospects regarding service, products, and account information and processing requests for various banking services.
• Processes the opening of accounts by collecting and verifying identification and information as required by CIP/CDD in accordance with BSA disclosures.
• Processes transactions including account changes with established procedures and verifies documentation and signatures.
• Processes ATM and Debit MasterCards for customers through the core system.
• Performs clerical tasks including filing and updating account information on the core system.
• Adheres to current shred procedures to be compliant with Regulation P.
• Analyzes and rectifies customer concerns through verbal and written communications following procedures.
• Performs follow-up calls to customers to ensure excellent service and timely processing.
• Acquires knowledge of bank products and services to provide accurate information.
• Verifies accuracy of monetary transactions using basic math and calculator.
• Processes customer transactions through the core system and cash dispenser.
• Balances daily by counting cash and reconciling items, identifying errors.
• Ensures regulatory compliance by applying bank policies during transactions.
• Performs check scanning and proper endorsements for accurate credit and settlement per Regulation CC.
• Sells currency back to the vault to mitigate risk and stay within cash limits.
• Submit referrals to designated areas through appropriate channels.
• Assists with training teller trainees and helps prepare them to open their own teller box.
