Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Banking experience preferred or relevant experience equivalent to a year.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the sale of bank products and services through internal sales process.
• Responds to customer requests by answering questions about service, products, and accounts.
• Processes account openings by collecting and verifying identification per CIP and Regulation DD disclosures.
• Processes transactions including account closings and updates per established procedures; checks documentation for accuracy and validity.
• Orders ATM and Debit MasterCards for customers with correct information for delivery and risk mitigation.
• Performs clerical tasks for Branch Management Team and Head Teller; updates account information in the core system.
• Follows shred procedures to comply with Regulation P.
• Resolves customer concerns through verbal and written communication per procedures.
• Makes follow-up calls to ensure service quality and item resolution.
• Gains comprehensive knowledge of bank products to provide accurate information to customers.
• Verifies monetary transaction accuracy using basic math and calculator.
• Handles customer transactions via the core system and cash dispenser.
• Balances daily cash and checks; identifies and corrects balancing errors.
• Ensures regulatory compliance by applying bank policies during processing.
• Scans checks and ensures proper endorsements for accurate credit and settlement per Regulation CC.
• Sells currency to management to mitigate risk and meet cash limits.
• Assists in training new teller trainees by demonstrating procedures and preparing them to work independently.
