Job summary

First Mid Bancshares, Inc. is seeking a Universal Banker to greet customers, process a wide range of banking transactions, open accounts, and build lasting relationships with clients. The role emphasizes sales in a branch setting and adherence to bank policies while delivering exceptional service.

The position involves educating customers on digital banking tools and cross-selling bank products, with opportunities for advancement and participation in the Total Rewards program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in a sales- and goal-based environment.
• 1+ year banking and/or consumer lending experience.
• Must complete required compliance and First Mid training curriculum to be proficient in the account opening process.

Responsibilities

• Create a quality service experience by ensuring timely resolution to customer needs and overall customer satisfaction.
• Greet customers and make them feel welcome to First Mid Bank & Trust.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other transactions accurately.
• Gain manager assistance with any suspicious transactions and obtain approvals for transactions outside limits.
• Maintain compliance with bank policies and procedures and protect against loss.
• Open personal and commercial accounts and related products, e.g., IRA, Trust, Business.
• Educate customers to use alternate delivery systems such as ATM, Online, and Mobile Banking.
