First Mid Bancshares, Inc. is seeking a customer-focused universal banker in Peoria, IL. You will handle deposits, withdrawals, and account openings while building lasting client relationships through proactive service.

The role emphasizes sales goals, cross-selling across banking products, and participation in company promotions. A strong customer service mindset and compliance discipline are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years experience in a sales- and goal-based environment.
• 1+ year of banking and/or consumer lending experience preferred.
• Successful completion of required compliance and training curriculum to be proficient in account opening.

Responsabilités

• Create a quality service experience by ensuring timely resolution to customer needs and overall customer satisfaction.
• Abides by company service standards, greeting customers and making them feel welcome to First Mid Bank & Trust.
• Service customers by processing transactions with accuracy and efficiency within policy guidelines.
• Gain manager assistance with suspicious transactions and obtain approvals for transactions outside limits.
• Open personal and commercial customer accounts and related products (IRA, Trust, Business, etc.).
• Originate consumer loan applications independently and train others as needed.
• Identify opportunities to refer customers to other bank lines and improve processes.
