Job summary

PwC is seeking a Testing Strategy & Planning Lead (Manager) to shape testing approaches for banking platform transformations. You will guide planning across test workstreams, translate business and tech needs into validation activities, and lead teams while coaching junior staff.

The role sits within PwC's Software and Product Innovation practice and focuses on Testing and Quality Assurance to ensure coverage, readiness, and timely delivery of complex platform changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 4+ years of experience in testing and quality assurance within banking/finance transformations.
• Experience leading testing strategy for core banking platforms or similar large-scale programs.
• Knowledge of testing methodology, STLC, and test management.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and client-facing delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing strategy and planning for core banking transformation initiatives.
• Define test scope, priorities, and timelines across system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Coordinate test planning across business, technology, and delivery teams to validate readiness for platform releases.
• Develop test scenarios, cases, and traceability coverage for complex banking processes.
• Manage defect triage, root cause tracking, and issue resolution through test cycles.
• Oversee test environment preparation, test data needs, and execution readiness for milestones.
• Review testing outcomes and recommend remediation actions based on risks and dependencies.
• Coach team members on testing methodology and automated testing approaches.
• Monitor progress and escalate blockers affecting release readiness.
