Job summary

Western Alliance Bancorporation seeks a Banking Operations Business Analyst to support enterprise initiatives in Payment and Digital spaces. The role acts as a functional SME, detailing business needs, processes, change impact, and user experience within regulatory-driven operations.

You will collaborate across operations, product, IT and vendor teams, drive testing, document requirements, and support automation and audit readiness. Strong Excel and Power BI skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience in treasury management services, banking or deposit operations, financial services, business analysis, regulatory operations, or a similar field.
• Intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
• Experience writing business requirements with subject matter expertise.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency; familiarity with Power BI, tax-reporting platforms, workflow tools, and data-query tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze Banking Operations Support processes, data, reconciliations, controls, and trends; identify gaps or risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain procedures, workflows, control narratives, and management reporting for audit and oversight.
• Coordinate with Tax, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Audit, Accounting, IT, and vendors to resolve dependencies and drive testing readiness.
• Lead smaller project efforts and prepare status communications for stakeholders.
