Job summary

Mechanics Bank is seeking a full-time Customer Service Representative at the Richmond Hilltop Branch to perform basic to moderately complex banking transactions and deliver high levels of service. You will handle deposits, withdrawals, transfers, account maintenance, and inquiries while ensuring accuracy, security, and adherence to policies.

You will also support branch operations and educate customers on banking products and digital tools.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• 1 year banking experience and basic knowledge of deposit products preferred.
• 1 year in customer service and cash handling in a customer-facing role required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine teller transactions including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, transfers, and mail/night drop transactions.
• Provide exemplary customer service in person and by phone; inform customers about rates, services, fees, and restrictions and related information.
• Educate customers on banking technology and digital tools; respond to inquiries accurately and promptly.
• Maintain and balance cash; review transactions for red flags and comply with policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Assist branch operations and other branches as needed; ensure compliance with Bank Secrecy Act/AML and regulatory programs.
