Job Summary

We are seeking a customer-focused Banker for a direct hire opportunity in Hayward, CA. The Banker will open and maintain consumer and business accounts, process teller transactions, cross-sell banking products, and provide high-quality service to clients in person and by phone. Key Responsibilities

• Open and maintain consumer accounts, business accounts, checking, savings, CDs, IRAs, and related account services.
• Interview and profile clients to recommend appropriate banking products and services based on their needs.
• Process new account transactions, teller transactions, account maintenance, closures, documentation, and system uploads accurately.
• Cross-sell bank products and services while referring clients to internal partners when appropriate.
• Maintain compliance with bank policies, procedures, Bank Secrecy Act requirements, and applicable banking regulations.
• Provide professional, courteous service to clients in person and by phone while supporting branch goals and client retention.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay range: $20.00 to $31.90 per hour.
• Job type: Direct hire.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Open and support consumer and business banking accounts while ensuring accurate documentation and proper account titling.
• Process teller and new account transactions while maintaining strong balancing accuracy.
• Recommend banking products and services through consultative client conversations.
• Support branch goals through customer service, cross-selling, referrals, and client retention efforts.
• 1 to 2 years of banking teller, new accounts, or customer service experience preferred based on role level.
• Experience opening consumer accounts is required.
• Experience opening basic business accounts is required for higher-level consideration and preferred for developing candidates.
• Knowledge of bank products, account documentation, and new account procedures.
• Working knowledge of basic banking regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act and information security practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and banking software or core systems.
• Strong customer relations skills with the ability to communicate professionally with clients and employees.
• Excellent judgment and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced branch environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience opening complex business accounts.
• Prior supervisory experience.
• Experience supporting Trust and Estate Accounts.
• Familiarity with Treasury Services such as remote deposit capture, armored service, or courier service.
• Experience processing reports related to currency transactions, returned items, overdrafts, callbacks, or similar branch operations.
