Job summary

Hancock Whitney Corp. in Mississippi is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Teller to deliver exceptional client service while handling routine banking transactions. You will assist customers with deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, and digital banking education.

Work includes cross-selling opportunities, compliance, and accurate balancing at the financial center. This role requires a High School diploma or GED and a minimum of 6 months of cash-handling or retail experience;

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 6 months of cash-handling, retail, or teller experience required; prior sales/referral experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional client interactions focusing on accuracy, speed, problem resolution, risk mitigation, and personalized engagement.
• Handle client transactions: deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, money orders, loan payments, etc.
• Respond to servicing requests with product and procedural knowledge to resolve issues quickly.
• Build and grow client relationships through in-person and outbound phone interactions.
• Educate clients on digital banking solutions (mobile, online, ATM).
• Refer clients to internal partners as needs are identified.
• Support financial center operations including opening/closing, vault, night depository, balancing.
• Assist in loss prevention and risk management, maintain compliance and security standards.
• Maintain professionalism in appearance and workstation; actively manage lobby flow.
• Perform research and special projects as assigned by management.
