Job summary

Ameris Bank is hiring a Teller in Tifton, GA to deliver prompt, professional customer service and handle teller transactions with accuracy. You will identify customer needs, cross-sell, and refer complex issues within the branch, while supporting team members and ensuring accurate cash handling.

Ideal candidates have 1+ years in customer service, cash handling or sales, and strong communication skills; an HS diploma is required, a finance-related degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Cash handling or sales experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Intermediate PC proficiency; knowledge of Google Docs and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, professional customer service.
• Operate teller drawer and perform advanced teller functions including researching cash discrepancies.
• Balance daily transactions and verify cash totals.
• Identify customer needs and make referrals; cross-sell and up-sell where appropriate.
• Provide backup support to other branches and serve as a mentor when needed.
