Job summary

Ameris Bank is hiring a Teller to deliver prompt, friendly service and accurately process transactions at the branch. You will handle cash, balance daily totals, and resolve basic customer inquiries while identifying sales opportunities.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year in customer service; banking product knowledge and cross-selling are a plus. Excellent communication and PC skills are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; may prefer Bachelor's degree.
• 1+ years of customer service experience, cash handling and sales exposure.
• Strong communication skills and basic PC proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and professional customer service to customers and prospective customers.
• Operate the teller drawer and perform advanced teller functions.
• Balance cash and ensure accuracy of daily proof work.
• Identify customer needs and refer opportunities within the branch.
• Support team and mentor colleagues as needed.
