Job summary

FirstBank PR is seeking a Service Representative (Teller) to process daily transactions, identify customer needs, and refer products and services while maintaining compliance with banking regulations.

Qualified candidates will have 6–12 months in sales or customer service, basic math skills, and strong communication. Bilingual ability is preferred and familiarity with MS Office and banking tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• Six months to one year of experience in sales or customer service.
• Minimum of 24 credits toward an associate or bachelor’s degree, banking-related preferred.
• Candidates with practical experience and training may qualify with required skills.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Excellent communication and written skills.
• Fully bilingual preferred and computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Handle monetary transactions including deposits, withdrawals, checks, and money orders.
• Perform teller system entries and manual entries as needed.
• Ensure security measures and report irregularities per BSA and AML guidelines.
• Balance cash drawer and close out end of day per schedule.
• Assist with branch sales culture and refer products/services as appropriate.
• Educate customers on alternative banking channels to reduce in-branch traffic.
