Job summary

Portland French Bakery seeks a dependable Production Associate to support daily bread production on the line. You will read orders, configure dividers and molds, prep supplies, and monitor weights and sizes to ensure consistent quality.

You will maintain records in the production software, adjust equipment as needed, and communicate issues to supervision. A flexible schedule and the ability to stand for long shifts are essential for meeting order deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Basic reading and comprehension required.
• Clear communication with team and supervisor.
• Ability to read, memorize, and retain product specifications (weights, sizes).
• Foundational baking knowledge or experience.
• Some mechanical knowledge helpful for line setups and adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Read and decipher daily production orders for the line.
• Identify preferred run order based on day of week.
• Set up divider and molding machines for each product.
• Gather supplies and tools for efficient production.
• Check weights, lengths, and shapes; adjust equipment as needed.
• Count pans produced and track product destination (proofer or cooler).
• Record production quantities in software.
• Set up reorders in software if counts are short.
• Communicate production or product issues to supervisor.
