Job summary

ShopRite of Old Bridge is seeking a Bakery Clerk to support the Bakery Manager in daily operations, pricing, stocking and rotating merchandise while maintaining a neat, clean department. You will engage customers, ensure correct signage, and help with general bakery tasks in a fast-paced retail environment.

This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work varied shifts. Applicants must be 18+ and ready to work overtime when needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak English clearly.
• Basic math skills for pricing and transactions.
• Ability to stand, lift up to 50 lbs with occasional assistance.
• Willingness to work in varying temperatures and environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Rotate and stock bakery items; ensure correct signage and pricing.
• Unload trucks and move merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Follow safety, QA and sanitation standards in daily tasks.
• Assist in other departments when required and work overtime as needed.
