Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Bakery Clerk to prepare and package all baked goods, assist the Bakery Manager, and provide friendly, attentive service in a fast-paced store.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, safe bakery area, stocking and pricing, receiving shipments, and helping customers with special orders.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a High school diploma or equivalent; with 1-2 years Bakery experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including night, weekends, and holidays.
• Have and show an outgoing and friendly behavior, positive attitude, and ability to interact with customers.
• Have good communication skills; ability to take direction and participate in a team environment.
• Be able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work area.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods.
• Prepare and package all baked goods and maintain quality.
• Provide a high level of customer service and ensure items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment; sweep and organize shelves.
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy; manage rotation and discard outdated items.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy and quality.
