Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Westminster, CO is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager to support the Bakery Manager in operations, inventory, display building and ensuring quality and safety. You will lead the Bakery team, assist with scheduling, ordering, and delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualified candidates have at least two years in retail grocery and two years supervisory experience, ability to stand for long hours, and a strong commitment to food safety

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a minimum of two years' retail grocery experience and two years supervisory experience.
• Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Have friendly behavior, positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
• Have good communication skills and the ability to take and give direction in a team environment.
• Be able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitization of the department including equipment.
• Stand for up to 8 hours per shift and handle moving items up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Bakery team.
• Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays.
• Monitor incoming cases for damaged items.
• Ensure excellent customer service and maintain product quality in Bakery.
• Unload deliveries and operate bakery equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
