Sprouts Farmers Market in Santa Fe, NM is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager to help lead a fast-paced bakery team, ensure product quality, and deliver outstanding customer service.

You will assist the Bakery Manager with ordering, inventory, displays, and safety compliance while guiding a team to meet daily goals in a supportive, friendly environment. Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a minimum of two years' retail grocery experience and two years supervisory experience.
• Be dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Have friendly demeanor, positive attitude, and ability to engage with customers.
• Good communication skills; ability to take directions and work in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the bakery area.
• Able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, and other equipment as needed.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and handle physical requirements of the role.
• Adhere to safety, health, and food handling regulations and obtain Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Bakery team
• Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays
• Monitor in-coming cases for damaged items
• Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service and monitor the quality of Bakery product
• Unload and sort through store deliveries, operate, and maintain deli equipment
• Ensure the execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations, and validate that other Bakery team members are also aware of, and following, these procedures.
