Job summary

Adams Hometown Markets is seeking a Bakery Clerk to help keep the bakery fresh and inviting. You will assist customers, rotate stock, and ensure proper display of all baked goods throughout shifts.

This role also requires standing in a fast-paced environment and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards throughout the day. The position may involve early mornings and weekends with a flexible schedule, light physical tasks including lifting, and a focus on teamwork and high-quality product

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 80-85 lbs and work in varying temperatures.
• Clear and effective communication with peers and leaders.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Team-oriented with ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and display bakery items attractively per plan.
• Rotate products using FIFO methods.
• Inspect incoming shipments for quality and freshness.
• Remove damaged or expired items.
• Maintain quality standards throughout shift.
• Monitor inventory and restock as needed.
• Assist customers in locating baked goods.
• Ensure accurate pricing and labeling.
