Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Birmingham is seeking a Bakery team member to support receiving and preparing product, maintain displays, and sell product to customers in line with WFM standards.

The role includes breaking down deliveries, stocking shelves, assisting with sampling, and upholding health and safety regulations while delivering friendly service to customers and team members. Flexibility for hours is required.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensures fresh and appealing displays by front-facing, stocking, rotating, and removing out-of-date products.
• Stocks and cleans shelves, bins, and display areas.
• Monitors spoilage and communicates waste to buyers and supervisors.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Assists with sampling program and periodic inventory checks.
• Arrives on time, groomed, and ready to work; participates in required trainings.
• Provides courteous customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Follows health, sanitation, and safety procedures; keeps environment clean.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures pricing accuracy.
• Reports safety hazards promptly and performs other duties as assigned.
