Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking a Bakery Clerk in California to prepare, package, and present bakery items while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced setting.

You will assist with baking, stocking, pricing, and merchandising, ensuring cleanliness and safety in the bakery area. Previous bakery experience and a HS diploma are preferred; flexible availability is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 with a HS diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years bakery experience.
• Reliable with ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly with strong customer service and teamwork.
• Good communication and the ability to take direction.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Maintain clean, safe bakery area and equipment; clean and sanitize surfaces.
• Stand for up to 3 hours continuously, lift up to 40 lbs as needed.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights & Measures regulations; maintain Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods.
• Provide high level customer service and ensure that bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented, keeping the area clean.
• Maintain clean, safe bakery area and equipment; sweep and sanitize shelves, floors, and fixtures.
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while rotating products and discarding outdated items.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment quality, temperature, and accuracy.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to a welcoming shopping experience.
