Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is hiring a Bakery Clerk in California. You will prepare, bake, package, and merchandise baked goods while delivering high-quality customer service in a fast-paced store setting.

You will maintain a clean, safe bakery area, assist with stocking and price accuracy, and support the Bakery Manager with daily operations. Prior bakery experience and flexible hours are valued.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a High school diploma or equivalent; 1-2 years Bakery experience; or an acceptable combination.
• Dependable with a flexible schedule including night, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and work in a team environment.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• General housekeeping; clean and sanitize work area.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
• Provide high level of customer service and ensure items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented, keeping bakery area clean
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment; sweep floors and remove hazardous debris
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy; rotate bakery products and discard outdated items
• Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
• Thrive in a fast paced environment and contribute to smooth bakery operations
