Job summary

Nothing Bundt Cakes is seeking a Shift Lead / Manager On Duty in West Lafayette to partner with the Bakery Manager in delivering an exceptional guest experience, oversee cake production and merchandising, and uphold NbC standards across daily operations.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 years of guest-facing experience in retail or foodservice, and the ability to lead, train, schedule, and handle basic administrative tasks using Word, Excel and Outlook.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college credits a plus.
• Experience in guest-facing roles in retail or foodservice.
• Basic computer skills and adaptability to new software.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize guest experience and foster a positive work environment.
• Partner with Bakery Manager to lead all guest experience, production and merchandising.
• Support recruiting, training, and coaching of team members.
• Ensure adherence to NbC standards, food safety, and procedures.
• Assist with scheduling, inventory, and basic accounting tasks.
• Co-manage special-order fulfillment and large orders.
• Open and close bakery, balance cash drawer, and handle deposits.
• Contribute to local marketing events and community engagement.
• Maintain hands-on knowledge of bakery roles to cover needs.
