Job summary

Bimbo Bakeries USA seeks a Production Team Leader to drive world-class manufacturing practices, coach teams, and ensure throughput and on-time shipping. They will champion safety, quality, and efficiency while guiding teams through the Operations Excellence Playbook and cross-functional collaboration to meet KPIs.

The role requires 4–6 years in production, strong leadership, and willingness to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends. Excellent communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• 4-6 years of experience in production, preferably in food processing or fast-paced manufacturing
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Proficiency with MS Office; KRONOS knowledge is a plus
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks/projects
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Win the shift by ensuring product, equipment, and processes meet world-class quality, efficiency, and safety standards
• Foster associate engagement by respecting, including, and empowering all team members
• Promote E5 Leadership Behaviors and ownership across the team
• Identify issues, assign actions, and escalate to department leaders as needed
• Coach associates toward independent problem-solving and continuous improvement
• Collaborate across departments to ensure production is on schedule
• Prepare priorities for the upcoming shift and coordinate with cross-functional partners
• Deliver on KPIs for People, Quality, Safety, Service, and Cost
• Develop core competencies through onboarding, training, coaching and performance feedback
• Maintain safety goals and regulatory compliance while optimizing product quality and process adjustments
• Lead the team to meet production schedules and shipping on time, in full
• Optimize cost efficiency by reducing waste and downtime, managing staffing levels
• Utilize tablets and apps to keep processes running effectively
