Qualifications

• Must be able to work a minimum of 8 hours per week.
• Basic knowledge of how to use kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lb and stand for extended periods.
• Must be part-time student (6 undergrad or 5 grad credits) and in good academic standing.
• Criminal background check required.
• Must pass mandatory trainings and food handling trainings.

Responsibilities

• Assist kitchen staff with preparation of food items for service.
• Learn to safely use a variety of kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Ensure enough food items are available to provide uninterrupted service.
• Work weekend shifts as required.
• Maintain storeroom and equipment in a sanitary manner.
• Store service and leftovers safely.
• Report sanitary and safety hazards to management.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings.
• Complete University Dining Orientation and mandatory trainings.
• Adhere to University Dining Student Employment Handbook.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
