Job summary

The University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee is seeking a Baker in Milwaukee, WI to prepare a variety of baked goods, support student workers, and maintain safety and quality standards in the bakery. You will help with recipe and menu development and ensure compliance with health regulations.

Weekend and evening availability is required. This seasonal role operates with planned breaks during winter, summer, and spring respectively as part of the bakery operations in Student Affairs: Retail Service.

Qualifications

• Six months of food service experience in a professional setting
• One year of food service experience in a professional setting
• ServSafe Certification, Food Handler or Manager certification
• Experience leading and /or training staff
• Experience in a customer service environment

Responsibilities

• 40% Prepare a variety of baked goods including yeast products
• 25% Assists student employees and provides training as needed
• 10% Assists with recipe and menu development and testing
• 15% Adheres to federal, state, campus, and local safety regulations, policies, and procedures
• 10% Assists with recipe and menu development and testing
• 10% Cleans, inspects and maintains bakery equipment and work areas to ensure adherence to safe food quality, handling, and sanitation processes and procedures
