Job summary

Aspire Bakeries is seeking an Operator 2, Bakery - Packing for the Swedesboro, NJ bakery. You will support daily packaging and retail bagging operations, ensure production schedules, food safety, and quality standards are met.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 2+ years in manufacturing, ability to lift 50-100 lbs, and proficiency in Excel; forklift certification is a plus. Shift is 1st, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, with weekend work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of manufacturing experience and/or training.
• Ability to perform basic math using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Ability to read/interpret production schedules, SOPs, safety rules, and operating instructions.
• Ability to complete routine written and electronic reports accurately.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with MOVEX/SAP preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50–100 lbs with team assistance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support daily bakery packaging and retail bagging line operations to meet production schedules.
• Provide routine work direction and operational support to packaging and bagging team members.
• Monitor equipment performance, product flow, and material availability for efficient line operation.
• Ensure compliance with GMPs, food safety, quality, sanitation, and security requirements.
• Perform and verify quality checks including metal detector testing, temperature monitoring, and labeling accuracy.
• Complete accurate production, quality, and packaging documentation and system entries.
• Participate in training, continuous improvement initiatives, and problem solving to reduce waste and variation.
