Job summary

Aspire Bakeries in Swedesboro, NJ is seeking an Operator 2, Bakery – Packing for the 1st shift to support daily packaging and retail bagging operations. You will help ensure production schedules, food safety, quality standards, and documentation requirements are met while contributing to continuous improvement.

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED, at least 2 years in manufacturing, basic math skills, and the ability to read schedules and SOPs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of two (2) years of manufacturing experience and/or training.
• Ability to perform basic math using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to read and interpret production schedules, SOPs, safety rules, and operating instructions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50–100 lbs with team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support daily bakery packaging and retail bagging line operations to meet production schedules.
• Provide routine work direction and operational support to packaging and bagging team members.
• Monitor equipment performance, product flow, and material availability to ensure efficient line operation.
• Ensure compliance with GMPs, food safety, quality, sanitation, and security requirements.
• Perform and verify required quality checks, including metal detector testing, temperature monitoring, and labeling accuracy.
• Complete accurate, legible, and timely production, quality, and packaging documentation and system entries.
• Participate in training, continuous improvement initiatives, and problem‑solving activities to reduce waste and variation.
