Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a bakery associate to greet customers, take orders, decorate cakes, and help manage the bakery department. The role emphasizes accuracy, quality, and positive customer interaction in a fast-paced retail setting.

The associate will assist the Bakery Manager, oversee scheduling, inventory, training, and ensure fresh, properly labeled products while adhering to company recipes and logs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business related or food service field desirable.
• Minimum 2 years' management experience in retail/restaurant/supermarket environment.
• Previous decorating experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with questions, resolving issues promptly in a courteous manner.
• Assist Bakery Manager in day-to-day operations such as merchandising and scheduling.
• Decorate cakes and bakery products using dyes, designs or custom creations.
• Monitor inventory, oversee deliveries, ensure freshness and proper product rotation.
• Support associates, train staff, and maintain production logs and recipes.
