Responsibilities

• Keeps bakery department stocked and appealing; greets customers and answers questions about products.
• Takes customer orders over the phone or in person and determines size, flavor, and appearance.
• Sets up special-order tables and displays; writes on cakes when needed.
• Ensures merchandise is fresh, properly priced, and labeled; handles spoiled or near-expiry items per policy.
• May assist in producing breads and pastries; follows production logs and approved recipes.
• Maintains sanitation; follows cleaning schedules and PPE requirements.
• Assists with receiving, unloading, and storing deliveries with proper equipment if trained.
• Supports shrink control and reports shortages or overages to management.
