Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a department operations leader for a store in Dickinson, ND. You will manage daily department activities in the manager’s absence, ensuring staffing, training, and adherence to company standards and KPIs.

You will be responsible for inventory control, order validation, and supervising a team to maintain product quality, rotation, and compliance with safety guidelines. Strong leadership and retail knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years retail experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Good organization and problem solving skills.
• Leadership abilities in hands‑on environment.
• Knowledge of retail operations and systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day department operations in the absence of the manager.
• Train associates and ensure staffing and coverage.
• Maintain inventory and execute proper markdowns to control loss.
• Review received orders for quantity and quality, ensure proper storage.
• Oversee scheduling, labor control, and payroll expense for the department.
• Ensure food safety and store safety guidelines are followed.
