Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a Department Leader in Elkhart, IN to direct daily department operations in a retail store. You will train associates, ensure staffing, and drive performance to meet company goals and KPIs.

You will manage inventory, validate orders, supervise stocking and production tasks, and maintain product knowledge across the store. Strong leadership and retail ops knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–2 years retail experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day activities of the department operations in a retail store.
• Order and maintain inventory, ensure product freshness and quality.
• Manage a team to complete stocking, production, and other tasks.
• Maintain knowledge of store products and ad items.
• Execute weekly flights and schedules per company guidelines.
• Monitor scheduling, labor control, and payroll expenses.
